Meet Guest Blogger: Sungwe Mulendema

Hello there- my name is Sungwe Mulendema, & I am a girl aged 18 from Zambia and a fashion blogger for studded(http://www.studdedb.blogspot.com/). I named my blog Studded because at the time I had a thing for this particular hardware :P

I started blogging about two months ago but this is not my first attempt; the first time I tried was two years ago but I had no idea what I was doing so I quit. Now that I've got a handle on it, I feel that fashion blogging is going to pave a way for me to get into the fashion industry as a designer; I learn new things everyday and I absolutely love it.

I don't really know if i have a personal style, all I can say is that I love trying out different things because thats what fashion is all about- evolution.

I don't know if I've carved out a blogging niche either, there is just so much about fashion that I love for me to only have one specific thing to write about.

I hope to work with a lot of bloggers and some great designers on my blog, then I will feel like I have truely achieved something.

My fashion inspiration is Rihanna because she is so versatile and not afraid to be bold when it comes to fashion.

Meet Guest Blogger: Daniela the Fashionista!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I´m Daniela from Bussikatzl´s fashionworld (www.bussikatzl.blogspot.co.at) and I´m a 22 year old fashion and lifestyle blogger from Austria. After a nice conversation with Kelly we decided on a guest blog from my side on her blog.

I wanted to tell you something about me and how my kind of style changed over the years. As a young child growing up I was never interested in style it had to be comfortable and It was perfect if I could go outside with it to play. My favorite pieces were Aztec leggings with a Pocahontas pullover. 

During my teenager time I was eating more than was good for me and I got chubby and used to wear clothes from the woman’s apparel since I was 12 years old. In the summer I turned 15 years I was away from home for a internship and my style improved a lot. I had my own money to buy clothes by myself.

That was the first time I got myself a perfect fitting pair of jeans and also some basic shirts. With me working at home in our restaurant as well as going away in the summer for internships I earned my own money and so I got more and more clothes I liked to wear. My first big change of style happened when I went for the summer to Vancouver to be an Au Pair. After the time in Vancouver I changed my school and my new class accepted me the way I was and from year to year I believed more in myself and my style. I used to wear layers over layers like a top, a shirt and a vest or sweater on top so that noone could see my still chubby belly.

After I finished my A levels I went for a year to the US. From the first day in the US I knew I was finally at home, and I got settled in. During that year in the US I found my real self and also my style. I also lost 38lbs and 10 inches of my hair. That was also the first time guys were interested in me because I was self confident and enjoyed my life to the fullest.

After I went back home nobody recognized me. Everyone was asking who I was and where I was from! They couldn´t understand how much I had changed in a year away from home. During that time I also met some old friends from school again & not even one of them did see me, they just saw the new pretty girl but not me. They stared at me all night long but couldn´t find out who I was. To be honest I can´t wait for our first high school reunion to show them the goals I reached and what I saw already in my life.

Last summer I went to Spain to see something new and unique. Living on the Island of Mallorca for  six months was one of the best decision I've made (besides my decision to go to the US). The weather was warm and I could wear the clothes I wanted to wear. No bad weather, the beach and the sun it was like a dream come true. I've been back home in Austria since last October and I can´t wait to travel again. 

I also did get to know a lot of beauty secrets from other people. My grandmother is using
“Franzbranntwein” for every bruise she has or a bad muscle ache after working out. I do so as well and I can tell you it works. I get bruises easily and with the use from the Franzbranntwein it goes away. She also always told me she is using lemon water to clean her face with. My grandmother has a clear and young face.

My sister is using baking powder 2x a week to brush her teeth and it helps to keep them white. My mom is taking a bath every once in a while with milk in it to make her skin smooth.

My secret beauty tip is: After a long night out I put two tea bags of black tea on my eyes and after I remove them I look like I went to bed at 10pm.
